Meet The Chefs
Amy Mitchell & Joe Suttie

Joe Suttie and Amy Mitchell are locally grown chefs who have become renowned in and around Ashburton for their talent in cooking.
Making their way into the Waitrose Good Food Guide, AA and Lonely Planet Guide have given them a great step forward on opening their restaurant.

You may know Amy and Joe from their delicious creations previously at The Agaric Restaurant or during various “pop up” events that have taken place throughout the town, but now they're excited to announce the opening of their own restaurant, The Old Library, located in the heart of Ashburton, Dartmoor.

They're passionate about supporting their community and creating sensational homemade dishes using high quality ingredients. Therefore they source their ingredients locally and use neighbouring tradesmen; from veg growers like Cuddyford Meadows, Garry and Elise at Country Cheeses to their photographer James Higgin & Josh Iskander
Ambrose Vevers has shared his outstanding carpentry knowledge and skill to help create the restaurant interior and hand craft their furniture.

Joe and Amy work hard to deliver memorable dining experiences whilst always ensuring their menu ideas are fresh and innovative to keep everyone's tastebuds tingling.
